A major capital project to completely renovate Epworth By The Sea’s Aldersgate Youth Village has begun. All nine buildings will be made handicap accessible. Cost per building is $185,000. Shiloh United Methodist Church in Hahira answered the call by missionary Rev. Bobby Gale to provide handmade dresses for young girls in Africa. In less than three months more than 100 colorful dresses were created and $1,000 raised toward a water well project in their village. Salem UMC joined in the effort with dresses and another $1,000 dollars. Rev. Gale visited Shiloh UMC on Feb. 6 to celebrate these gifts to Unto The Least of His Ministries.

Striplin Terrace United Methodist Church in Columbus recently donated several United Methodist hymnals to Dugo United Methodist Church in the Philippines. A thriving church with several children, youth, and young adults, Dugo UMC requested the hymnals for the liturgies and services as much as for the music and lyrics.  Striplin Terrace members worked hard to collect the hymnals and clothing, and dedicted them on Sunday, Feb. 15 before shipping them to Dugo UMC.
