Effective Communication Webinar – Oct. 14
On Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m., Revs. Scott Hagan and Jonathan Smith will share best practices and ideas for effective communication in working with group ministries. UMW Annual Meeting – Oct. 18

Vashti Day – Oct. 19

Akin Memorial UMC Revival – Oct. 25-28
Akin Memorial UMC will host a revival Oct. 25-28. The revival will begin with a trunk or treat and a dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. Rev. Jim Rush will preach at 7 p.m. He will also preach at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, and at 7 p.m. on both Monday, Oct. 27 and Tuesday, Oct. 28. Special music by the church choir and special guest singers will round out the revival.

Eagles’ Fall Retreat – Oct. 27-29
The Eagles, better known as the retired ministers and spouses of the South Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church, are gearing up for their annual Fall Retreat. Set for October 27-29 at Epworth By The Sea on St. Simons Island, the retreat will be a wonderful time of renewal, reconnecting, and rediscovery. Dr. Bob Bone, a retired pastor in the North Georgia Conference, will lead the retreat. Fred Foster will lead silent and live auctions. Encounter – Nov. 14-16

Wesley Glen Ministries’ Holiday Bazaar – Nov. 15
Wesley Glen Ministries will host their annual Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 15, 2014, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Life Skills Center. The event will feature local vendors, independent sellers, craft items, baked goods, and snack bar. Rain or Shine! Booths available for lease. United Methodist Student Day – Nov. 30
The Student Day Special Sunday Offering helps provide funds for scholarships and loans for United Methodist students.  Student Day gifts make a real difference for those who hope to attend college.
