Riverside UMC shares music library
Riverside UMC in Macon has graciously been given choir libraries from three churches that have closed during the past five years. As a result of these gifts, their anthem library has grown from 650 anthems to more than 1,400 titles. The complete library has been entered into a database which can be sorted by composer, voice parts, liturgical season, and includes listings for instruments and children’s choir parts.
In the spirit of good stewardship, the Music Ministry of Riverside feels strongly that this gift should be shared with other churches through a lending library. Each church will be responsible for picking up anthems at Riverside and will complete a check-out form. Churches may then return anthems in person or by mail. It is Riverside UMC’s hope that the music library will become a valuable resource for the South Georgia Conference.
Those interested in receiving the Excel database should contact Rev. Alan Benson by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
