ABOUT THE WEEKEND
Who hasn't asked the question, "What does God want me to do?" It is a question that we all wrestle with, a search for purpose and meaning in an all too often chaotic and seemingly random universe. But what if God has already answered that question for us? What if the answer is simply to obey the instructions given to us through God's word, the Bible?   This year's November Celebration theme, OBEY, will explore the idea that application and not revelation is what most of us are lacking in our Christian walk. Join us as we retell the story of Jonah and answer the question, "What happens when we obey God's commands?"

COST:  $130/person -- includes housing, meals, programming, and t-shirt

COUNSELORS:  Adult counselors must accompany each group, and a 1 adult per 6 youth ratio is requested.

QUESTIONS:  For more information, please contact Diane Giles at 888-266-7642.

November Celebration is a conference sponsored youth event that seeks to offer young people an opportunity to connect with Christ and one another in a safe and friendly environment.

Guest Speaker: Fred Whaples
Fred Whaples is a highly sought after trainer in children and youth ministry. Fred takes his full knowledge, experience and education to partner with churches in growing vibrant ministries and impacting the world for Christ. Fred served as a successful youth pastor for 17 years in both urban and suburban areas. Fred will share practical insight on growing closer to Jesus Christ by obeying Jesus’ commands.

Special Guest: Heath McNease
Heath McNease is the antithesis of what you might expect when you think about hip-hop. He is so far removed from the exploits of the rap game that some may think his inclusion in hip-hop is oxymoronic. Heath mixes in elements of boom bap, dirty south, blues, jazz, reggae, rock, and even a bit of gospel music to his sound. “I’m such a fan of music. There is no way I could ever box myself in.”

Worship Leaders: Living Anthem
These young men have performed at Atlanta fest since 2002, and in 2008 they performed two separate days on the main stage.   Their heart has remained the same, to serve. No matter the denomination, race, or age, from Living Anthem you will only find a heart for the people -- to see the body of Christ unified.
