ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2008 DEADLINES

THE BOOK OF RECOMMENDATIONS AND REPORTS
All reports are due by March 7. Please double-check the accuracy of your report before submitting it to Cathy Crawford. Please send documents in WordPerfect or Word format. Please be concise! We reserve the right to edit the length of “information only” reports. Send reports to Mrs. Cathy Crawford, PO Box 20408, St. Simons Island, GA 31522, or cathy@sgaumc.com. You may want to call Cathy to confirm receipt of your report. Your cooperation will enable us to have as much information as possible in the hands of our members prior to their arrival in Columbus.

VIDEO/MEDIA PRESENTATIONS
Any media presentation (video, DVD, PowerPoint, etc.) intended to be shown at the Annual Conference session must be submitted to Kelly Roberson, PO Box 20408, St. Simons Island, GA 31522, or kelly@sgaumc.com no later than May 19. Any last minute presentations should be given to Kelly, who will present them to our AV provider. This policy is to insure the highest quality and optimum coordination between our conference committees and the service provider. Groups planning to use a video in their report to the Annual Conference are responsible for the cost of video production. These details should be negotiated prior to engaging the services of any production group.

AWARDS
No awards will be personally presented at the 2008 Annual Conference session. All groups who present awards will be asked to share in the following manner:

A) Plan to present your award directly to the recipient in their own local church or at your organization’s banquet.

B) Submit information about your award and the name of the recipient(s) in a report for the Book of Recommendations. This information is due by March 7, 2008. Please submit information to Cathy Crawford at cathy@sgaumc.com.

C) Submit any pictures of recipient(s) to Kelly Roberson, Director of Communications, by Monday, May 19, 2008, for inclusion in a media presentation that will be shown at Annual Conference. RESOLUTIONS
March 7 is the deadline for all Resolutions. The Resolutions Committee will consider only those resolutions received by March 7. Resolutions should be sent to Dr. Hugh Davis, Chair, PO Box 26, Thomasville, GA 31799. A copy should be sent to Dr. Brad Brady, Conference Secretary, 4842 Wesleyan Woods Dr., Macon, GA 31210. Please consult the Standing Rules (3.3.3) for more details.
