The documents below provide tips for Parliamentary Procedure, how to speak during the Annual Conference Session, using Zoom Webinar, and voting.
Parliamentary Procedures: As a reminder, the South Georgia Conference follows the Modern Rules of Order, 3rd Edition, American Bar Association for Parliamentary Procedures (see Standing Rule 3.1.1).
The Annual Conference Session will take place via Zoom webinar. You will need an internet-connected device such as a desktop or laptop computer with speakers, tablet, or smartphone. You will access the session using a web browser (i.e. the platform you use to get on the Internet, such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.). A webcam is not necessary. Only videos of conference leaders and presenters will be shown during the session. Members of the Annual Conference may speak, ask questions or raise points of order via a chat feature if microphone capabilities are not available on your device. You will also need to either open a separate tab in your internet browser window to be able to vote, or choose to utilize a second internet-connected device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to use solely as a voting device.
Voting: Online Voting Instructions
Please note: clergy and lay members to Annual Conference have been sent an email with a private link to join the August 15 Annual Conference Session. The email also includes voter identification and additional instructions. If you have not received an email with your Voter ID, please email Meredyth Earnest - email@example.com.
