A word from Bishop King: prayers for the people of Charleston

June 22, 2015

Please join me in prayer for the victims and their families of a terrible crime, which happened Wednesday, June 17, at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C.

Nine persons were killed during a Bible study, including the pastor, who was a state senator.

All of us are called to examine the thoughts and teachings that breed this kind of destructive behavior.

Those of us who are believers know that God wins. However, the path to righteousness is filled with challenges to overcome before the kingdom of God will fill every heart.

Growing a Christlike world is possible but requires us to believe it, teach it, practice it, and live it!

Love and prayers,

Your bishop,
James King
