Margaret Coffey Langston, age 80, of Buford, Ga., passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Rev. James O. Langston, Sr.; grandson, Devin Durden; parents, Kenneth Alfred and Margaret Black Coffey; and sister, Dorothy Coffey. She is survived by her children, Jim Langston, Garner, N.C.; Trevor Sim, Garner, N.C., Ann and Johnnie Ward, Brunswick, Ga.; and Cherie and Gene Durden, Buford, Ga.; grandchildren Dorrie Wilson, Ross Ward, Whitney Owens, Kristian Rowe, Christian Durden, Danielle Durden, Coby Durden, and James Langston; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Jeanette Couch of Warner Robins, Ga.; Billie Coffey of Warner Robins, Ga.; and Linda Coffey of Warner Robins, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Langston was born Aug. 10, 1934, in Ft. Bragg, N.C. She was a 1952 graduate of Warner Robins High School where she was a star basketball player. She retired from Cigna Insurance Company after 18 years of service as a budget analyst. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Macon, Ga. Services were held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Rev. Whit Kirkland officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Devin Durden Scholarship Fund, 1895 Brickton Station Drive, Buford, GA 30518 in memory of Margaret Langston.
