William Homer “Billy” McCoy, 75, of Moultrie, GA, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Grantham and the Rev. Robert McCoy, Jr. officiating.
Born Nov. 1, 1942, in Waycross, he was the son of the late John F. McCoy, Sr. and Margaret Brasington McCoy Dethman. Mr. McCoy was a United States Army veteran and retired from Newton County as a school teacher. He was the preacher at Lenox United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Davidson McCoy of Moultrie; two sons, William Brasington “Bo” McCoy of Orange, Texas and Alexander Morrison “Alex” McCoy and Patty of New Castle, Penn.; step-son, Joseph Davidson Fowler and Cassidy of Moultrie; step-grandson, Jax Davidson Fowler; brothers, John McCoy, Jr. and Barbara of Winston Salem, N.C.; Robert McCoy and Toni of Moultrie; sister, Ann Lindell and Ollie of Jesup; grandson-to-be-born, Hudson Frank McCoy; and several nieces and nephews and other family members.
