Mrs. Wynona “Noni” Carter Carlson Clements, 79, of Alamo, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, Ga.
Mrs. Clements was born June 6, 1935, to the late Howard and Florence Carter. She was an active member of the Alamo United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's organization. Mrs. Clements was devoted to her family and a “godly woman” who opened her home to everyone. She loved to laugh, sing, and play the organ/piano.
Mrs. Clements is survived by her husband: Rev. John M. Clements; children: Ruth (Mike) Moore, Martha (Brian) Rudd, Miriam (Jerral) Mayes, Steve (Markie) Clements, Dan (Wendy) Clements, and Paul (Sharon) Clements; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Anne Jordan.
Visitation for Mrs. Clements was held on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Towns Funeral Home. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at the Alamo United Methodist Church.
