FOCUS ON THE VISION
DENISE WALTON
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body – Jews or Greeks, slaves or free – and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 ESV
The South Georgia Conference’s Advocacy Team is pleased to announce the inaugural Multicultural Luncheon to be held Monday, Jan. 16, 2017. The luncheon will take place at ConneXion UMC in Savannah. The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Stacey Harwell-Dye, Chairperson of the Advocacy Team, will provide the keynote address. This event is open to all congregations.
The purpose of the Multicultural Luncheon is to celebrate the gifts that God has provided in the South Georgia Conference through our local churches. We are a diverse Conference in worship styles, size of congregations, along with race and ethnicity. There is a tremendous amount of cultural diversity among us. As we learn from one another, it is our hope to grow together as we all strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Click here to register. Registration will close on Jan. 11, 2017.
