FOCUS ON THE VISION
DENISE WALTON
Theologian Paul Tillich wrote, “Behold, I am doing a new thing.” “I” points to the source of the really new, to that which is always old and always new, the Eternal.
On June 11, 2014, the South Georgia Annual Conference officially transitioned from nine districts to six: Coastal, Northwest, North Central, Northeast, Southwest, and South Central.
In the midst of the transition, district superintendents will gather clergy and laity for the annual set up meetings and district conference. As we come together in a new direction, let us pray for the district superintendents, district administrative assistants, clergy coordinators, clusters, clergy, and laity within the new districts.
It is indeed an exciting time within the annual conference. As we continue to work through the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, I pray that we will look to that which does not change … the Eternal.
