In February 2004, a small group of faithful followers began to meet in the basement of the Hansons' home to pray and see what God would do. It started with 7 members
but soon grew to over thirty that formed the unique personality of The Chapel. By June 2004, having outgrown "the basement" in just a few months, The Chapel made its first move and began to meet in the conference center at the Trupp/Hodnett Professional building. The summer influx of young adults meant that the members quickly outgrew this facility. The Chapel then moved to the Strike Zone bowling alley and the first service was held on Sunday, September 12, 2004. Despite having multiple services, the church outgrew the facilities at the Strike Zone. The church moved to a larger space within the same building and the membership continued to grow. On October 21, 2007, the first service was held on the new property on Harris Farm Road.
