Director of Discipleship and Women’s Ministry Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, Augusta, Ga Begins August 1, 2018 Summary Job Description: This is a full-time position for someone called by God to make disciples of Jesus Christ through the ministry of adult education and women’s ministry. This person will have demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for Christian discipleship in their own life and in the Church. We seek someone who will effectively challenge and grow our Sunday School, Bible studies, small groups and Women’s Ministry to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Primary Responsibilities: • Oversee and direct the Adult Sunday School program through the Discipleship Council. This includes 12 adult classes at 9:45am and 1 at 11:00. • Oversee and direct the Trinity Life Class program through the TLC Leadership Team. This includes planning classes for the fall and winter semesters. • Oversee and direct the mid-week small group ministries. • Oversee and direct the TOTH Women’s Ministry through the Women’s Leadership Team. This includes the annual retreat, Girl’s Night Out, mentoring program, ministry to Moms, etc. Congregation: Trinity on the Hill UMC is a midtown congregation in Augusta, Ga with an average worship attendance of 700. Our music program, missions work, youth ministry and friendliness is well known in the area. We affirm an orthodox and Wesleyan expression of the Christian faith. The church has three services each week (two traditional, one contemporary) and an active Sunday School and discipleship program. The 11:00 traditional worship is on live television. Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum B.A. in Bible, Theology or Christian education • 3-5 years of experience in leading Christian Education in a Church setting • Successful criminal background check for Safe Sanctuaries policy and abide by North Georgia United Methodist Church Sexual Ethics Standards.
