Trinity United Methodist Church, a historic and thriving downtown church in Florida’s state capitol, with purposeful engagement in our congregation, local community and broader world, seeks a Director of Discipleship and Adult Ministries. This is a full-time position that initiates, coordinates, and sustains ongoing ministries towards deeper spiritual growth. This position intentionally develops new ministries that engage adults and families with an emphasis on spiritual development and Christian formation in the Wesleyan tradition.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• MDiv, BA, or MA in a field related to Christian Education (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience, or 10+ years of relevant ministry experience.
• Self-starter and team player. Must be able to embrace a diverse congregation, develop, and sustain ministries in the Wesleyan tradition for the whole.
• Ability to lead teams and sub-teams on a large organizational level and embrace lay leadership.
• Well balanced leadership and delegation skills. Exemplary time management, organizational skills, and long range planning required.
• Strong ability to recruit leadership for discipleship, adult ministry, and justice programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork among staff and volunteers that produce results.
