Beulah United Methodist Church is a thriving church in Valley, Alabama (30 minutes from Auburn; 35 minutes from Columbus). With an average congregation size of about 50 on a Sunday, we have a wide variety of ages in attendance at our weekly traditional worship service.
The primary role of this person will be to keep the financial books of the church. This role will include depositing funds into the bank, keeping records, preparing reports, and acknowledging contributions. This person will also provide office support, including preparing mailings, creating bulletins, answering phones, preparing the church for Sunday worship, and coordinating with outside groups.
This person will help create a positive, friendly, and welcoming office environment. They should have experience in finance/accounting, be proficient at using the Microsoft Office Suite, and be familiar with using regular office equipment. They should be familiar with, or willing to learn, ACS Technologies Realm Church Management Software. Strict confidentiality is required.
The weekly schedule is flexible! The position will be approximately 10-15 hours each week, with a hourly wage of $12-15, depending on experience and qualifications.
