Conference Center Update - 6/1/2015

George Bernard Shaw left us these immortal words: “Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have gotten hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”

Those are exactly the sentiments of our task force for the new Conference Center. We are excited about the possibility of having a home for the South Georgia Conference. And we are equally excited about the conference-wide appeal of asking 5,000 South Georgians to give $100 or more to make this dream a reality in 2015.

Already, 578 givers have contributed $66,397 toward the goal of $500,000, and we are most appreciative of their gifts. But at this time, we need the assistance of our ministers and laity to help us get the message to the local churches – through bulletins, emails, announcements, Sunday school classes and other church groups. If you have not made your gift to the new Conference Center we hope you will consider doing so and joining us in this effort to make our ministry together even more effective. Thank you very much.
