Lyman Coleman to lead Eagles' Retreat

The South Georgia Eagles, a group of retired South Georgia United Methodist pastors and spouses, will gather November 7-9, 2011, at Epworth By The Sea, for their annual retreat.

Rev. Dave and Kay Hanson, Eagles’ co-presidents, are happy to announce that Rev. Lyman Coleman, a world-wide leader in small-group ministries, will lead the retreat.

“Lyman Coleman has more fun leading a retreat than anyone I know!” Rev. Hanson said.

Dr. Coleman has trained more than 500,000 small group leaders in his illustrious career. He has written numerous Serendipity small-group guides and edited the Serendipity Bible.

Retreat highlights include a memorial service, a giant “puzzle party,” a movie about Bishop Arthur J. Moore’s ministry, free time for rich fellowship and, of course, the auction of items brought by participants.

There is no registration fee for the Eagles’ Retreat, but participants must register by calling Rev. Hanson at (912) 634-6384, or by emailing him at The cost of the retreat is covered by offerings and the auction, held during the retreat. Room and meals are purchased separately through Epworth By The Sea (912-638-8688).
