The South Georgia Conference’s delegation to the 2016 General Conference returned to their homes this past weekend after spending two weeks serving as delegates in Portland, Ore.
“This has been a very interesting two weeks, and what an awesome opportunity for us,” said Bill Hatcher, a lay delegate and member of Statesboro First United Methodist Church. “I want you to know, South Georgia, that you have a phenomenal delegation. They worked hard, they worked together, and they represented South Georgia in a really strong way. You would be very proud of them.”

Rev. Scott Hagan, senior pastor of Bonaire United Methodist Church, served as a first time reserve delegate to General Conference. In a brief video, Scott answers the questions, “What has been your experience as a first-time delegate? Have you learned anything new by seeing General Conference at work first hand?”
