College students interested in a summer serving in ministry are invited to apply to be counselors at Camp Connect on St. Simons Island. As a camp counselor, students will minister to hundreds of youth and children throughout the summer while making lifelong friendships with other staff members. As a paid position, staff members on the Leadership Team will commit to eight weeks of service which will include serving at mid-high and elementary camps. The summer will run from May 27- July 21, 2013.
The Leadership Team provides for the day-to-day operation of the summer camp program. Each team member will be assigned to be a camp counselor for Elementary Camp (rising fourth to sixth graders) and Middle School Camp (rising sixth to ninth graders). Assignments are made weekly. Each regular camp session runs from Monday afternoon to Friday after lunch.
Benefits of being a Leadership Team member include opportunities for Christian leadership, personal spiritual growth and serving alongside college students from across the state and beyond. Compensation ranges from $2,000 to $2,400, based on experience.
