Warner Robins First UMC member receives Arthur J. Moore Award
On Sunday, Jan. 11 at Warner Robins First United Methodist Church, Ellen Reynolds received the Arthur J. Moore Award for Historic Preservation. Margaret Mathews and Rev. Jimmy Duke from the Conference Archives and History/Museum Committee presented Ellen with this award for her outstanding work on the recently published history of Warner Robins First UMC. This award is given annually to someone who has exemplified the spirit of Bishop Moore in searching out, recording and preserving the story of South Georgia Methodism. Ellen humbly accepted the award on behalf of a hard working core church history team. She noted that delving into church history had been an adventure and also a reminder that what happens today is history tomorrow.
