Sager Brown Mission Experience 2019
September 29-October 4 (Deadline to Register is Wednesday, July 10th)
The Conference Outreach Team is sponsoring and coordinating a mission experience to Sager Brown, The UMCOR Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana. There are 10 spots available with the possibility of increasing based on interest. Spots will be filled on a first come first served basis through the online registration link below.
Mission Opportunities will include:
Working on-site and in the UMCOR depot with relief supplies (sewing opportunities as well) and other Outreach Ministries such as the Food for Seniors Program, Hearts and Hands for Homes, Chez Hope (a shelter for survivors of domestic abuse), Heart Start Reading program, The Bridge-Women's Teen Challenge Center, Matthew 25 International and more.
- Deposit ($150.00) is due upon registering with the balance ($150.00) due by August 31, 2019.
- The cost includes lodging, meals, transportation and registration fee. You will be responsible for meals en route.
- Participants must have a background check within the past 3 years.
- Registrants will be sent Medical Release and Liability of Release for Short Term Volunteer.

6pm – Welcome & Mission Information Meeting – Susanna Wesley Room
No meals available on campus
Monday – Friday
Meals: Breakfast serve at 7:30am; Lunch served at 12 Noon; Dinner served at 5:30pm (no dinner Friday night)
Work: Depot, Campus, and community work daily from 8:15am – 3:30pm
Gift Shop and Museum: Open Tues, Wed, and Thurs from 3:30 – 4:30pm
8:30am Orientation for all volunteers in Jubilee Hall

1:15pm Campus Tour, meet in Susanna Wesley Room
5:30pm Planning for Thursday Vesper Service during dinner
(Note: Individuals planning Vespers will line-up behind Kitchen Ministry and will eat in Susanna Wesley Room.)
Work in the morning & tour in the afternoon.
Breakfast and then tour all day.
Day to work in Depot, Sewing Room, Campus Chores, or in the community.
12 Noon – Volunteer Recognition in Cafeteria
7:00pm – Vesper Service in Jubilee Hall Chapel
By 8:00 a.m. Check out of rooms. Turn in keys and name tag clips.
Campus is open for work until 3:00 pm, but no evening meal served on campus.
